Finished the environment- the one I actually submitted for critique was done in about ten minutes, and this one was done in about four hours... I refuse to show you the one I submitted previously because I'm afraid some people might seek me out and kill me for creating such a disaster.

Coming To Take Me Away
Environment Sketch wip

environment concept sketch, in progress

Key Scene wip

key scene, also in progress (the shadows are from a lack of ansel and amanda and there is going to be a kitty under the blue bit of ice)

My first painting in Photoshop, but Liz (aka Photoshop Guru No.1 ) approved, which made me feel better.

More or less, the plot for a short animated movie:

In the not-incredibly-far-away-future, domestic cats are introduced to Antarctica. They go feral, reproduce like mad, then die a lot because it's still pretty damn cold (but not as cold as usual, Amanda wears a skirt for heaven's sake, though admittedly she has a lot of blubber). Amanda's job is to go around and collect all the dead cat bodies that are surfacing as the ice melts again, chipping them free with a big pointy stick, more or less. She totes around her fat ass cat Ansel every day in her red wagon-converted-sled device. One day Ansel comes across a female kitty frozen in the ice and is immediately smitten with her. Every day he comes back and stares at her while Amanda works. Every day when he comes back the ice has melted a bit further, and slowly they come closer and closer to each other, until the tips of her paws have escaped. Then, one day, Ansel comes to visit his love and an unknown fellow worker of Amanda's has chipped her out of the ice and dumped her somewhere in the ocean with the rest of the dead cats. The end.

Teeth were my solution to explaining my sense of humor- cute, but slightly off. There are typically rollovers and a contact page involved, but I am too lazy to make them into actual working web pages for you to see, so make due with the mini-version. :p

The Black Donnellys
I had a dream last night where when I took out the second piercing in my left ear, a chunk of flesh stuck to the earring and my ear was like... plagued by some fungus that was causing it to fall apart. I blame reading medical journals until 2am in the morning, myself.

Also, I've been wanting to update with art more often via blog. This involves me using my camera, but I think I can suck it.
